Businesses in many industries have adopted interactive kiosks, but no one appreciates their versatility more than retailers. Kiosks allow you to please customers and reduce operations costs at the same time. And because the business relies on technology in the first place, Interactive kiosks are ideal for wireless stores, where customers expect technology to be showcased front and center. So, here are some ways you can use interactive kiosks to boost wireless sales.

Give shoppers a more satisfying experience.

Interactive kiosks can do that in several ways:

  • Wireless stores are often the scene of long lines, anathema to today’s customers. With a helpful kiosk standing by, there’s no need to wait.
  • Kiosks are perfect for browsing product information, comparing features and pricing on phones and apps, or watching a quick video on how to use the newest device.
  • Enable customers to checkout and pay, or sign up for your loyalty program.
  • Step it up, by linking your kiosk with customers’ own mobile devices.
  • Many customers prefer self-service. Aside from being faster, it’s entirely tailored to their personal preferences. Studies show customers who order products via kiosks spend more overall and choose more optional items. This is great for sales, but why do they do that? Because there is no salesperson hovering by, perhaps judging their choices.

Get creative.

Start a gift registry on your wireless store kiosk. Who wouldn’t want the latest hot accessory for their birthday? And you can capture information about the gift giver and receiver, to continue engaging with them, giving you more opportunities to build future sales.

Offer printable coupons customers can use right now. Make it about a product you’ve advertised (place the kiosk near the product), or make it a surprise discount-of-the-day (place the kiosk near the entrance, so shoppers can use it to begin their tour of your wireless shop).

Virgin Media’s store in London’s Westfield Shopping Centre incorporates eight interactive digital signage displays that allow customers to browse, play, and watch services before buying.

Get smarter.

Simply installing interactive kiosks isn’t enough. How well-received are they? How are customers using them, and for how long? The most valuable kiosks “talk back” to you by gathering user interaction data you can analyze. The more you can learn about your customers’ behavior and preferences, the more effectively you can market to them through your interactive kiosks and through other in-store and off-site means.

You’ll get excellent “insider tips” to improve your product selection, too. With a more appealing product lineup, you’ll make more sales.

If you’re operating multiple kiosks, remote management software allows you to collect data from a single location. You can aggregate the data and also compare customer behavior from one location to another.

Reach out to more potential customers.

Interactive kiosks are flexible. They can be the centerpiece(s) of your wireless store, or sell your wares where you don’t have a store – in busy malls, in a complementary business, or in other high-traffic locations. Think about how you can use them to build seasonal sales as well, and watch your wireless sales grow.
