Ways to convert window shoppers to customers.
Window shoppers are looking for something; they just might not know what that is. As a retailer, it's your challenge to suggest to them what that something is. They're interested in purchasing, but need to be compelled to buy. Window shoppers may not be actively engaged in the purchasing process, but they are invariably interested. Convert passersby into customers at your brick-and-mortar store with these tips.
How to Convert Window Shoppers into Buyers
If window shoppers weren't interested in what your store has to offer, they wouldn't be looking. Here's how to convert passersby into customers:
- Get them to take a small action. An object at rest will stay at rest unless an external force acts upon it. Initiate action from the window shopper. Find a way to get their foot in the door, literally.
- Eliminate risk. Rid the product of purchasing barriers. Allow shoppers the opportunity to sample what you're selling. This allows them to alleviate fear and diminish risk of investing in your product.
